Allison Bangerter
I have been playing the piano since I was 7 years old. I earned my Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance from Brigham Young University and my MM in Piano Performance from Arizona State University and I haven’t stopped learning since. By performing regularly, I am able to stay on top of repertoire and develop new ideas on practice and performance habits. I recently attended Orford Musique Academy with my duo piano partner, Sue Miller, where we studied with Greg Anderson and completed a pedagogy course by Irina Gorin. In 2017 I attended the Alan Frasier Piano Institute and I am currently the president of our local Music Teachers Association. I contribute to the theory tests for Certificate of Achievement and am on the editing board. My students regularly receive top marks on Certificate of Achievement exams and win local, state and regional competitions, but most importantly, they love to play!
Sue Miller
Sue is an accomplished recently retired College of Southern Idaho Professor and pianist with a Master of Music with an emphasis in Piano Performance from Boise State University. She is the piano department head for the Sun Valley Summer Music school. Sue enjoys teaching students of all ages and abilities!
Rachel Larsen
Rachel is a music teacher and a free-lance pianist with a Master of Music with an emphasis in Piano Performance. With more than ten years of teaching experience, Rachel is an experienced and extensively trained music teacher. She is a firm proponent of piano technique and healthy piano playing, and a lifelong learner who is interested in many different topics; she often remarks that her students teach her just as much as she teaches them.
“We have absolutely loved our experience with Bangerter Piano Studio! Allison makes learning to play fun and exciting for new students. She encourages her students to work hard and expects them to put in the work. Her love for the piano and her students resonates in all she does!”
